This Malossi cast iron cylinder
with a 47 mm diameter piston and 75 cc displacement is
interchangeable with the original cylinder fitted on Vespa 50 N, 50
L (Lusso), 50 R (Rinnovata), 50 Special, 50 Revival, 50 PK, 50 PK
S, 50 PK XL and Ape 50.
Compared to the original cylinder, this kit features revised
transfer ports, designed to provide improved engine responsiveness
and a livelier performance, delivering increased power.
Vespa 50 and Ape 50 are
originally equipped with a 43 mm stroke crankshaft, and this engine
kit can be installed without replacing the original crankshaft. The
kit is supplied complete with cylinder head and gaskets, ready for
installation, and does not require specific technical skills or
machining, making it easy to fit on all Vespa models.
Performance can be further
enhanced by replacing the original crankshaft (which remains
suitable) with a racing crankshaft. The main characteristics of
this cylinder are high torque output and reduced fuel
consumption.
The machining carried out by Malossi technicians results in
exceptional robustness, ensuring superior performance across all
engine speed ranges.
Further upgrades can be
achieved by fitting a larger carburetor, variable-advance
electronic ignition, longer gear ratios, a reinforced clutch and a
